Ancient ingredients backed by science.

We’re all becoming very aware about what goes into our products, especially the quality of ingredients. It important to us to source the highest quality ingredients and understand the research behind it that backs it's benefits.

Our unique, non greasy formula contains a mix of natural oils. These oils that contribute to keeping your hair healthy which is backed by scientific evidence, references to papers are below.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil plays a big role in our recipe. It’s made up of lightweight fatty acid chains, these chains make up the triglycerides that make the oil. These strengthen and bind to hair proteins, preventing hair damage1. Synthetic, or mineral oils used in cosmetics don’t have this structure, leading to greater hair protein loss and as a result unhealthy hair!

Sweet almond oil

Another part of our formula includes sweet almond oil. Studies have shown to prevent damage to hair and scalp by blocking ultraviolet rays2,3 (harmful rays from the sun). By preventing structural damage to your scalp you’ll be protecting your hair in the long run. Also no one wants to put sunscreen in their hair.

Vitamin E

We also added a dash of vitamin E oil to help the scalp skin. Vitamin E oil has long been known to be extremely beneficial, protecting against solar radiation through its antioxidant properties acting as a free radical remover4. These free radicals are created by radiation and are horrible for your cellular DNA, they lead to accelerated aging and poor skin health.

Castor oil

The castor oil plant has been shown to have great antimicrobial properties against bacteria and fungi, through thorough scientific testing5,6. Even in lower concentrations castor oil is able to fight off nasty Gram-positive bacteria7.
